If you are interested in studying as an international student* at the Faculty of Philosophy at UCM you may do so as…

  • Exchange student, who comes to the university through signed agreements to study for a Bachelor's or Master's degree or PhD and receives recognition from their home university for the courses taken at UCM.

Please note that we will only accept applications from students who have been nominated by their home university under a formal bilateral agreement. 

  • Visiting student, who comes to study at UCM as a visitor for a semester or a full year.

1. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

A basic knowledge of the Spanish language is important and recommended for all Erasmus students, regardless of the activity they are going to carry out, otherwise their daily life, both inside the university (administration, use of facilities, etc.) and outside (accommodation, transport) will be seriously hampered. The Faculty of Philosophy of the UCM accepts no responsibility for any problems caused by lack of knowledge of the language.

Compulsory language requirements for courses in Spanish

DELE/SIELE certificate of knowledge of the Spanish language or language certificate issued by the university of origin:

  • For Bachelor's degree courses: level B1 (B2 recommended).
  • For Master's degree and doctoral courses: level B2 (C1 recommended).

Compulsory language requirements for subjects in English

Certificate of English language proficiency, level B2.
